Is that even possible?
I am not in the need of it myself, but recently I was speaking with an acquaintance of mine who said to me that it is possible to protect oneself from the Gods' will.
Gods are not omnipotent, but still, they are much more powerful than humans, right? How on earth can a person protect themselves from the wrath of a deity?
The only thing that comes to my mind is that said person will be protected through gaining the favor of another deity, possibly an adversary of the deity he needs to protect himself against. E.g. invoking Athena, Poseidon's rival in order to be protected from the latter. But even something like that requires actually invoking deities, therefore it surpasses humane capabilities.
What is your say in this?
