Ok for some reason when i posted this the first time it said file not found right when i posted it. So hopefully this goes through

Bast or Bastet is known as the Goddess of cats , joy , dance , protection, music and love.
Bast is seen often pictured as the body of a women and the head of a cat.
Bast is also known as the Lady of the East and is one o. The goddesses of the four directions. Sekhmet being the West , Nekhbet being the South and Wadjet being North. Out of all these Goddesses only Nekhbet whos associated with the vulture did not have feline aspects.
There are many different variations of Bast's name including Pasht, Bastet, Per Bastet, and Bubastis.
Though some of these are the result of mistranslation and misunderstanding
Here in the present time the correct spelling is Bast. As Bastet for example means "She of the city of Bast".
The lineage of Bast is unsure. Some say she is the daughter if the God RA. And sister of her leonine counterpart Sekhmet
Others say she was the wife of RA
In earlier times Bast's form was aggressive in aspect and could like Sekhmet be viewed as a Eye of RA
Now days though she has assumed a more mother like aspect
Her rituals often involve music, feasting and dancing.
Bast's main festival usually took place during April and May
Im sorry if i went all over the place with this information i just wanted to share some knowledge i learned on Bast the Goddess i follow
