So recently I have become enamored by Norse custom and its pantheon, and while I have always been a believer of magic, I myself was raised Catholic and mostly kept my interest purely theoretical. However, my research, plus my new fascination has caused me to question my faith more thoroughly. Last night, I asked for a sign, to solidify once and for all my thoughts on the matter. Then, I had two separate dreams.

In the first dream I was in a forest. It was autumn, I think, judging by the colors of the leaves, and there was a white deer with me with a goat?s face. From a distance, it seemed large, but when it came closer it barely reached my hip. I feel like I knew its name in the dream, but I?ve forgotten it since. It let me pet it, and I knew it wouldn?t try to hurt me, so I did. Then I either woke up and don?t remember it or the dream faded away.

The next dream I had I was sitting in my grandparents? backyard. The wooden bench had a dead deer propped up to sit like a human, its throat slit downward, from chin to collarbone. The white deer with the goatface was there as well, and when I looked down I saw the shadows of two birds circling, which I knew to be ravens. When I looked at the white deer for too long, it began to contort, its head thrown back and its shoulders shifting under its skin to better suit the shape of something more humanoid. Then I woke up and wrote everything down.

Online sources have thus far been confused and inconsistent, and while I think I know who sent me my dream, I can?t find anything matching the pantheon or the imagery besides the ravens. If anyone could shed some light on the subject, that would be exceedingly helpful.
