All About Auras

An Aura is the belief that all living lifeforms give off an energy field. Being able to read or see an aura is practiced by many different paths and has a long history in medium interpretation for a various number of things.

Some believe your aura can change color depending on your energy and others believe your energy is like a signature and unique to you, remaining the same only the intensity changes. Regardless, there is no right or wrong in your belief.

How can you see an aura? I believe everyone possesses this ability and it is not a special gift only a handful have. However, that is not to say some people are born with the ability naturally part of them and others struggle to find it. What does take training and work is if it does not come naturally to you.

There are two ways I practice aura readings. One is visual. This is exactly how it is perceived. You can visually see an aura surrounding someone. The best way to describe it is almost like someone did a bad Photoshop, cut the outline of a person out and pasted them onto a background. There is a fuzzy, blurriness that surrounds the persons outline, and this gives off a tint or color. Sometimes it appears like heat movement, tapering off of their body, very subtle and small. If you are not specifically looking at people for their aura, you wouldnt necessarily catch it.

The second way is subconsciously. This does not require meditation, but rather the visual of color surrounding someone comes to you in thought or perception in interacting with them or thinking about them.

Color meaning and understanding is important when you are picking up a color. Shades of blue can vary in meaning. The darker colors are more apt towards someone that is calm while the brighter blues are individuals that appear to have more energy and are usually good a multi-tasking, having several things going on at once.

Shades of green will indicate healers, whether it be verbally healing, a good listener or counselor or physically healing, using their energy to help unseen scars. Being around green aura individuals usually leaves you with a positive, refilled energy.

Purple auras I find are rare but some do display them. This is connected to a heightened sense of psychic understanding, very sensitive to feelings and emotions, often you would find an empath with this color. This is the one color that makes burst appearances (meaning someone usually does not carry this color but it will manifest on occasions)

Red is often misinterpreted and anger and evil, whereas the energy color I find in people is connected to individuals that are materialistic. This is not meant to be negative, as most individuals who display red have big goals and dreams and work hard to achieve things in life. They may appear aggressive (where the anger comes in) but it is due to their passion towards achieving things they want. These individuals are very passionate about specific things.

Pink hues or lighter reds and orange is considered very rare. This is a reflection of balance and understanding of physical and spiritual surroundings. This also appears as a burst color.

Yellow is connected to intelligence. This may often appear as a halo and emphasized around the head. These individuals are generous and caring and make good teachers and leaders, often putting others before them for a greater good.

Dark or dirty colors such as gray brown and black are connected with negative energy. This is a residual energy of angry, depression and even death. When encountering someone with this aura, they can cleanse their energy to rid the negative.

White is the final color and indicates one of two things, either they are skilled in blocking and have put up a wall to prevent you from seeing their aura or two, they have no harmonic connection with their mind and body. This is common in someone that is dying or departing their physical body as they are no longer connected to it and no longer need it.

These color interpretations are not law, these are just my interpretations and experiences. I am not claiming to be a subject matter expert in this area, but I know many people have witnessed auras and not even realized it. By starting to look and develop an understanding towards them, you can see what individuals strengths and weaknesses are.

So, how can you start to work on developing this skill? Start with your own aura. I find using a large mirror works best. By looking at your self you can focus around the outline of your body. You arent looking for detail, just a fuzziness that surrounds your outline. Once you start to see the waviness, stare at it until you can identify a color. The more you practice this, the easier and faster the color will appear. Then, try it on other people. Even in general conversation, looking at their outline, see if you can pick up the color.

I would like to hear what experiences (if any) you have had with auras? How do you see them and interpret them and what skills have you done to better help you with the process? I hope this short overview has helped or even inspired someone you to go out and develop this skill more.
