Hello everyone, it's been a while since the last time I posted here.

I've just made basic copper carbonate at home, which is the main chemical compound in malachite, so I was wondering what properties might it have and if it has some use in magic. Also, I'd like to try and make other stone powders like calcium carbonate (marble) and various silicates (quartz).
From what I can imagine, since the chemical is the same it should retain properties linked to its colour but on the other hand it should lose those related to shape and crystal structure.
Is there any helpful reading on the matter you can suggest me?
