Greetings. Sufian here. While many 'spell-casters' here would argue with different methodologies and approaches for casting a successful spell, I would like to focus on a prime area of spellcasting, that is, emotion.
Well, countless member have already stated and debated their opinions about how essential emotion is. Here, I would like to express my view on that, and how I used it to ace my craft. So you went through all those lectures and scripts about meditation, how to write a spell. grounding, shielding, energy works etc ; and now you wanted to finally get your hands on your craft. Now, what is missing? Magick itself is an art. You have learnt a lot about this art, and enhanced your creativity, then what remains? The colors. Sounds confusing?

The colors are our emotions that complete the art. Let me describe my experience. When I was first introduced to this art, I was a blind fool. I went through all those lectures involving meditation and other stuffs and spent hours practicing; but in the end, it was fruitless. Yes, it prepared me mentally and spiritually, but that was it. Then I used this one thing in me : to put my everything into this. I thought....and kept thinking..sometimes out loud and sometimes jotting down on paper, and I finally got it. I was restrained by my lack of emotions. My canvas was gray; it lacked colors. This is where things got real. Putting emotions into action was like finally doing something that you were urging to do for a long time. It is like releasing yourself and finally going on the stage to perform. When you do this, you feel the actual bliss that the nature has to offer you. You feel like you are a part of a great thing and soon, this comes to reality. At last I could breathe in the love of life. Everything craft that I underwent felt like a masterpiece , and a moment worth capturing forever. Nothing can compare to the feeling of being spiritually elevated after a craft well done. Love, lust, anger, determination: putting them into action means putting your best, and nothing can go beyond it. Your emotions frame who you are, and it becomes better every time you express them in your craft. These things help your craft to come to life, and that's when you know, that you are truly a great practitioner.

Hence, I consider emotions a vital part of doing magick. Hope you enjoyed my writing . Thank you!
