Is the moon connected with star gazing or it it two separate things?

I didn't realize I was a star gazer until using this forum. I would always stare at the clear sky looking at the stars for answers. As far as I know I never received the answers. The past month or so I have a fasination with the moon. I was wondering if they are connected with each other.

Also would anyone know where I can get more info on this? I have tried googeling it and all I come up with is what people see and interpret the stars as, not as an ability.
