For most of us we go to the store and buy our ritual tools take them home, concacrate them and plunge right into our rituals and other works without so much as a thought. Most of us take the time to read about the tools and what they represent. And a small few of us may even take the time to make our tools our own by altering them to match our own energy and whatnot.

But how many of us take the time to attune ourselves and commune with the elemental spirits and energies that lend their energies into our works. How many of us have actually felt the energy of Air or Earth flow thorough our bodies? Or have allowed Water to clense us and Fire to forge our conciousness and thinking? How many of us have actually done a ritual to call forth the elemental spirits and allow them to teach us a few things about the world around us. It is my opinion from experience that this should be a basic practice of any magical path. I am doing it now as I craft my tools and study the in's and out's of ritual. Try it and see what you think. Just a thought.
