Hi, I have been looking up information about omens, but I am still s little bit confused. I know that an omen tells what is to happen good or bad(is that correct?). But what I am confused about is, are omens depicted as good or bad by your thought and beleifs, or are some things set as a bad or good omen. For example, some people think black cats to be a bad omen, but I like black cats and don't think that they represent evil. Also people say picking up a penny on tails brings bad luck, but I would only pick up pennys on tails because I it suited me more.

So (back to the original question), is an omen depicted from yourself, your thoughts, beliefs? Or are they set? Or are there some that are set and some that depend on you yourself?
