Herbal Medicine Unit Conversions

Here is the standard list of measurements that I use in my practice of herbal medicine. Keep in mind these are for US measurements. Also note different practices and schools of herbal medicine use other measurements.

Drams Milliliters Ounces Dropperfulls Other

2 7 1/4 7-10 1 1/2 Teaspoons

4 15 1/2 15-20 1 Tablespoon

8 30 1 30-40 2 Tablespoons

16 60 2 60-80 4 Tablespoons

24 90 3 90-120 6 Tablespoons

32 120 4 120-160 1/2 Cups

64 236 8 236-320 1 Cups

Note* The difference between dropperfulls will depend on the liquid volume capacity of the dropper your using some come standardized at i Milliliter other fall short between 1/2 or 3/4 of a Milliliter, also note that milliliters are rounded to the nearest tenth.

16 oz. or 2 Cups equals 1 Pint

32 oz. or 2 Pints equals 1 Quart

128 oz. or 4 Quarts equals 1 Gallon
