so i had a sore throat today and i made some lozengues that are quite simple and work very well.
recipe,
3/4 cup of slipery elm powder,
1/4 cup cinnamon powder,
1 -2 teaspoon of cayenne powder (the heat is up to you)
1-2 teaspoon of powdered ginger (up to you)
about 1/4 cup of licorise tea, or you can use plain water,
2-3 tablespons of honey (sweetness is up to you)

directions,
make a strong tea out of the licorise, (1 teaspoon of the root in 1/2 cup water, simmered 10 minutes to make 1/4 cup of tea), and add honey to the hot tea,
mix all the powdered herbs, and make a well in center
add the tea, and mix till its all incorpated and has a dough like consistency (add more water if to dry, or if to wet, add more powdered herbs)
roll and cut into any shapes that you want, but make them so they are like lozengues, or you can skip the rolling and make them into balls.
let dry over night or intill completly dry,
store in an airtight container in a dark dry place,
TO USE, just suck on one of the lozengues.
