What do you think about Amethyst crystals?

I recently purchased a string of tumbled Amethyst crystals to have a pendant, set of earrings and bracelet made for me. The reason behind this is that atmosphere at home is getting way too toxic, constant fighting and bickering about nonsense. I haven?t discarded malicious influences from people outside our home, which means I have to cleanse my home with sage or incense as well as talk to my sweetie and get the airwaves clear, but for now I?m exploring with the crystals to see how it goes.

Some of you may know that Amethyst is a powerful peace stone; it brings calm and clarity to any environment and improves communication. When people are in a transitional state (loss of job, divorce, break-ups) people usually tell you to get an Amethyst asap to calm, soothe and relieve you of your inner pain and suffering. It will also help you move on.

I wore the Amethyst set yesterday as it was Sunday, the corresponding day for this crystal and the 7th chakra. It calmed me and made me more open to my sweetie?s suggestions, but I?m still not experiencing enough calm.
