Medicamentum Horrescere Dirimo (Potion to Stop Shivers)An old herbal-lore mixture to aid in curing a cold. Pour about 200ml of water into a pan or cauldron and bring to the boil... lower the heat and add a tea-spoon of salt, 3 tablespoons of sugar and a cinnamon stick. Stir the mixture and simmer for 10 mins.
Then, add the liquorice root to the pot and simmer for a further 10 mins.... it smells amazing...!
Once the mixture has simmmered, stir again (widdershins/anti-clockwise) and say this little chant...
"..Horrescere dirimo et cessare hodie".
(Shivers stop and Leave right NOW)
Add 3 more tablespoons of sugar and simmer again for 10 mins, stirring every few minutes.
Strain the mixture and bottle the potion but do not cork before it as cooled, again say the chant before closing the bottle and once more when you pass it to the person you want to help.
Also, they can have 1 spoon of the mixture in the morning and 1 at night if needed.
The cold should leave within 3 days. (print spell)
