Go outside with your candle and feather, and sit down cross legged. Put the candle down in front of you and light it. Now, take the feather, and touch the tip of it to the center of your forehead, or your third eye. Breathe nice and slowly and as you do, recite this spell as you hold the feather to your head:
"Guardian of the watchtower of the North, Master of wind and sky. Lend me your ancient power. Keep me strong with the wind's cry. When you breathe, allow it to move through me. Give me ancient powers".
Burn the feather over the candle and say, "Accept this sacrifice. Allow me the will and power over your watchtower. So mote it be". Then blow out the candle to finish the spell.
This does not work, you cannot control air. You work with the air element. This spell is calling on the watchtower, which is used for circle casting. Also, burning the feather is odd since you are utilizing a different element. You should release the feather into the air. You could tweak this and make a meditation where you call on the guardian of the air element to connect and gain wisdom. In both cases, you need to thank it and send it away. You are calling in a spirit. If you do not thank it and send it away, the element could negatively effect your life. There are tales of people calling in the watchtowers without sending them away, resulting in misfortune from those elements. House fires, pipes bursting, sink holes, and windstorms have been claimed to occur when you do not send these elementals away correctly.
