Light the candle with the match.Write this on the paper: "Raging and Graceful, oh thee dragon protect this item from anything that may harm it." Then place the special item on top of the paper and say the exact words again as much as it feels right to you. Then take off the item and put it in a box or something like that.

Then take the paper and slowly, slowly! Burn the paper up saying the chant again 5 times. Then it should never get lost or something.

This sounds like a rather flawed spell. [and rather dangerous if you need to slowly burn paper while chanting. You can't control how a flame will react to a fuel.] You can call on Dragons for protection, but this specific spell probably won't work. I would change it by meditating before a candle, visualize the elemental Dragons, your Guardian or Guide, then say a chant calling on the to protect you. [just watch your wording as Dragons take things litterally]

I fail to see how this would protect an object. I suppose if you work with dragons and you have a connection to them, it may work. I would consider changing the word ''raging'' to ''mighty'' because the energy you would be calling would be different.
