When the festival of Imbolc is around the corner, that is the time to clear out negative energies and hostile spirits from your territory by making a protection charm to defend oneself.
To begin, burn a sprig of rosemary to cleanse your home, sweeeping the rooms widdershins (counter clockwise) to banish stagnant and or malignant energies. If possiblem, find a branch or twig or twig from a Rowan/Mountain Ash tree. If Rowan can not be procured, use a steady branch of Rosemary instead to be the charm instead. Wind a red ribbon around the branch and with each wind chant the following incantation: ''The power of Rowan protects me and thee!''
After saying the incantation, hang the branch above the door and it will ward off hostile spirits. Repeat the process again during the next festival of Imbolc.
