Is this show accurate with its depiction of magick? Or is it once again televised incorrectly?

If in doubt, it's best to assume that all magick in fantasy TV shows and movies is made up and over-dramatised for the purpose of the show.

I have never seen the show personally, but much like most others they likely undertake magick for fantastical and impossible acts too.

One thing to bear in mind is that TV is meant to be entertaining, and so in most cases any process is either made up completely, or only based on a single core concept or process then kicked up to eleven.

Think of the use of magic on TV like science fiction. They take a singular concept, and then push it to the extreme of possibility with just enough philosophy or practical application to allow those watching to suspend disbelief.
Which means that we know it is fake, but it is -just- 'real' enough to believe as plausible within the constructed world. Like bending in avatar or alchemy in fullmetal alchemist. they took a set of precise rules based on real-world core concepts, then built a set of fictional possibilities, restrictions and processes based on those basic rules.

No, it is just television entertainment, sadly. It would be super cool if people were actually capable of all that (if not absolute chaos), but real magic is more focused on the energy you put out. It requires real effort to achieve your goals.
For example, there are good luck spells that people use for success in their careers, but they still have to work hard and earn it. It's just positive energy that gives a little extra push to get the ball rolling and keep the caster motivated.
It's the same with most things. Positive or negative energy combined with real effort to achieve a goal. It just has to be somewhat realistic.
I hope this helped. Best of luck to you!
