Basic practices such as visualisation, centering, grounding, etc aren't something you read once and know how to complete, they take time to learn, understand and be able to successfully complete.
Study isn't immediate or instant, as Nord has said, it is about building on it, find books, do lots of research and lots of practice, they aren't an immediate fix but are instead a gradual build up of knowledge that can help a more successful practice.

Magic, even the basics, is not something you master overnight or by reading a few articles. If you don't understand one of the basics and how it works then you need to spend more time researching, studying, and practicing until you do understand it. No one can simply tell you what to do and you can immediately do it.
For many of us, magic is a life-long journey where we are still continuing to learn. But understand that there are no shortcuts in magic. It may take months or even years before you become fully successful.
