Spirit Companionship ?
By:
Post # 1
Does anyone here have any experience with spirit companionship ? I'm interested in connecting with a faery but wanted to see if anyone had any good advice on preparing for welcoming a spirit into my home, has any forewarnings or things they think I should be aware of, or knows any reputable shops for buying vessels and spirits. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And, for anyone opening this thread who's looking for information like I am, here are a few links to websites I have found beneficial for learning about the practice ;

Feel free to reply with more links and other media outlets relating to this subject; Let's make this a really good resource for people looking to learn !

i do not believe in the buying of vessels as anything other than a scam, but you use your intuition above all. if it is worth your money then do try it out and tell us what you find.

however, i think you can cultivate a home for a spirit to take up residence. attract something beneficial and kind hopefully, perhaps a garden or house spirit.

Before I give any advice, what do you hope to obtain with this 'companionship', why are you doing it?

I am also weary of the buying of vessels for the same reason, but I'm kind of conflicted for a couple of reasons. From what I have read, many years of training and practice are in place for shop owners that conjure spirits themselves to do so safely and to properly communicate with spirits, so priced vessels make sense when there is experience and labor behind the purpose of them , do you follow me? I also think that it would be silly to host an entire website about spirit keeping and a shop alongside it as a scam for the simple reason that there aren't that many people out there who delve into this practice.. I feel like it would be a waste of time on the 'scammers'' part and that it wouldn't yield much profit, so it does make me question if scamming was their motive if that would be the best avenue to approach it in. Just a thought ..

The reason I am hesitant to conjure a spirit on my own is primarily due to the knowledge that I will be opening myself up to negative entities along with the positive ones and don't know how I would handle a situation like that if it should arise.

Thoughts?

My main goal is to learn .. I feel like opening myself up to spirits will allow me to not only learn about the world around me but also to learn about theirs and gain knowledge and hopefully spiritual guidance ! I feel like it will help me grow as a person so long as the relationship is mutual :-)

Make a vessel for them, what some practitioners do is keep little pocuhes filled with things the spirit likes or that represents them and they keep them stored in their house (Generally in secret) to act like a 'Bed' for a 'place for them to rest' - just something that will make them want to stay for a while (They don't always stay forever, sometimes they leave then come back)

So, you're recommending that I summon them myself rather than turn to a shop for help? What if I unknowingly invite an evil entity into my home?

There are methods to prevent ones who intend you harm from entering yourself, research them

In my experience, spirits are amazing! I have 3 in my household and they help me with everyday things, ranging from school advice, to conversations about defeating demons or bad things in the backyard. You can develop a deep relationship with any type of otherworldly creature (well not all but you get the idea), it just takes time, support, and love. As for the faery thing, I recommend adding a lot of plants or flowers in your house.
