Cartomancy

Alright so I wanted to know if anyone has tried Cartomancy, or know if it works. Cartomancy is almost like tarot cards, but instead you're using a regular deck of cards where each card and suite has its own meaning. Does anyone use this and can give me tips? Does it work as well as tarot?

It is as valid as any other form of divination, in my opinion.
I personally have not used it though.

The current deck of 52 cards descends from tarot. The four suits still have their elemental correspondences and values, etc.

Using playing cards is like reading tarot without the major arcana. It can absolutely be successful.

This is the type of divination I used before I made my tarot deck. It basically works the same way.

Interpretation and symbolism is personal, as things have different meanings for different people.

Honestly, I just use a website for the interpretation. But I try to make it clear to the universe/my subconsious/whatever is answering me. But, alot of people like to meditate on the cards instead.

I can't remember where I found the exact interpretations of each card but essentially each number has it's own association as well as the suits. Cartomancy is more intuitive and personal than that, however. I'd recommend you go through your deck and assign meanings to each card that makes sense to you.
A Two of Hearts for example might represent a couple. The two representing a pair and the heart representing emotional matters.
