Offering Services

I have been on this site for almost 2 years now. As the years go on I am starting to notice an increase of fake profiles. Especially when I make a post, I get about 5 messages saying they can help me and hook me up with a spellcaster or magical/powerful mage or witch. Do I report these profiles? or just let them be?

The internet itself, not just this website in particular, has many fake profiles and people who will try to scam you for your money or your personal information and in many cases both. I would suggest ignoring the messages, it's simple enough to do, but if the same person continues messaging you block them. We have a block option on the site for this reason among many others. I'd very much recommend utilizing it. If you get repeated messages that say the exact same thing, it is most likely the same person or persons and it would be wise to report it to a moderator.

Hello, Jaxies here!

I suggest just ingoring the messages but if the same person messages you just block and report that's what I do. But, beside that I just ingore and delete those messages . Kinda what Divinius if you get the same message but different profiles it's most likely to be the same person and report/block them.

As a former Admin, report them, they are spam and have no business on a forum site, they can disrupt, and play, maybe even extorting money. So tell your Admin of the site, and if their is a way forward the PM's to them.
I had a IP address looker up thing I used before letting anyone on site, their email will give them away quick. and location.

Not exactly, Zaza. We live in an extremely tehcnologically advance world where it's easy to hide online if you know what you're doing. It's not difficult to use a proxy, an IP blocker, a different IP or other ways to decieve people. As mentioned, and I will reiterate, the best thing you can do is block the member and if you continue recieving similar or the same messages, report them to a moderator who will report them to pet if they are unable to do anything
