Take over a coven

Hello, on the group section of spells of magic.com if you scroll down to inactive covens it reads "The following covens have inactive leadership. You may apply to take over one of these covens." Can anyone tell me how I would apply? Please know that I really don't know if this has been discussed on the forums before, and I'm just looking for answers. Any helpful answers would be greatly appreciated. Also, would I be able to change the name of the coven but keep what that coven practices? Example: If a coven practices white magick in it's spells and rituals but it's called something else, could the priest/priestess contact the administrator or whomever would need to be contacted and have the name of their coven changed but keep the practices? As in the coven that practices white magick would still be practicing it, just the name of the coven would be changed? Thank you greatly for your helpful information.

Postscript I understand that I'd have to leave my current coven.

(Forum change to Covens please.)

First, leave your current coven. If your account is three months old, it will be eligible to apply to a coven. You will see links next to the coven name that says "apply to lead" or similar. You'll clock the link. If you want to, you can then sends Pet a message with a title similar to " [Coven Name] Leadership Application" and tell him why you think you would be a good leader, including what you'd do with the coven. If he agrees with it due to your letter and history of participation on the website, he'll make you the priest/ess according to the gender on your profile. If he does not, nothing will happen, except you cannot lead another coven with that account.

No, you cannot change the name. It remains the same, period. The theme of the coven can shift, just not drastically. Throughout the history of this site, all of the coven themes have shifted to one degree or another.
