1.) Do witches have some sort of ancestral magick, one in which all witches are linked to?

2.) Out of no where, a sigil appeared in my mind, I want to know what it means as I wasn't even doing a spell at that moment

3.) How does one become powerful

1) No, there is no ancient magic to which all Witches are linked.

2) Can you post a picture of the sigil? Without seeing it it's impossible to say what it means.

3) You become more powerful through study and practice. Like any other craft, witchcraft requires hard work if one wishes to become really good at it.

The closest you could get to original witchcraft would be to study the beliefs of early man, as well as the magick performed by twelfth- and thirteenth-century farming and working class European peoples.

A picture of the symbol you saw would do wonders, as far interpreting it. I know a lot about symbols and the like, so maybe I can help you there. If it's a sigil, though, they're unique to their purpose. Nobody can help you there, I'm afraid.

I can't help you with the third question. In my opinion, power is measured by each individual person; we each have a different criteria upon which we base it.

At first I was think that the sigil was some sort of deformed triple goddess sign, but the stars kind of threw me for a loop. So yeah, any ideas would be appreciated

Well I can tell you that it isn't a sigil. Sigils are very specific, and generally don't use shapes like stars. I'm actually inclined to agree with you; it does appear to be some sort of modified triple goddess symbol, with the stars perhaps representing the elements and the cohesive moon symbol representing spirit.

That could very well be, I wonder why it popped into my head out of nowhere though.
