Lavender is good but you need to make sure it is safe to eat, so ensure there is no chemical pesticides, don't pick it from an unknown garden, from the side of the road or those bought from sellers who also sell toxic or poisonous herbs.

It is best to buy from a cooking herb supplier and be aware of any allergies people may have and quatities to use.

Plum is also a good one for peace and may be easier to bake with than lavender if you are not used to using it in cooking.

Thank you! Lavender is my go to essential oil when I need to promote a calming atmosphere for myself but Ive no experience in cooking with it. Plum definitely sounds easy enough to work with. I will be sure to check for anyone with allergies.

In addition to the above mentioned suggestions, you could also use olive oil in your recipe if it calls for oil (promotes peace) and lime can be used- either as a garnish for its scent or as a flavor- to promote peace and tranquility too! When you are adding the ingredients and mixing/baking it, you can also add your own personal intent to it. Simply think about what you hope to accomplish (in this case it would seem to be bringing harmony and peace to your workplace) and send those good thoughts and feelings into the cake.

I hope this helps a little bit. Good luck to you!

One can buy lavender designed to be used in cooking and baking from many specialty spice shops such as Penzey's at https://www.penzeys.com/

Lavender is one of the herbs traditionally found in Herbes de Provence, a cooking blend in classical French cooking. And I have used it in a lemon and lavender pound cake. You can find the recipe for the cake at http://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/lemon-lavender-pound-cake

I baked a lemon cake for joy and happiness ...a pocket full of sunshine so to speak. I baked a the lemon cake and squeezed some fresh lemon juice in the batter. And used a lemon icing.
After it was finished I put it in my ritual space and blessed it and used my athame to slice it as I did I envisioned it slicing away any obsticales preventing this from happening. Id say it worked very well. :)
