Faeries

Hi everyone!
I have recently been interested in learning about Faeries and how to communicate with them. I was wondering if anyone has some good articles or information that they would like to share.
Thanks in advance!

Faeries are collectively known as "Nature Spirits" whose sole mission are for the balance of all creation, and realms. They come in many shapes and sizes , some greater than you imagine. Some are quiet and peaceful others like surprise. Although imperfect like human beings, they try to remain balanced on all fronts most of the time. Stories of "Evil" faeries are vastly exaggerated based on the current beliefs at that time. Some Faeries stretch the truth (pixies, Gnomes). They are Guides not Gods. And these stories depicted because they above all honor balance of Earth and others. They understand happiness, love , joy abundance and greatness are a part of life, so too are sadness, loss, despair poverty and depression.

The first thing to learn is that Fairy/Faery is an umbrella term that was "retroactively" applied to a collection of similar spirits across multiple cultures. There is no singular body of lore that pertains to them that is historical and not personal view. Personally I view this as blanketing cultures and being disrespectful, so I tend to stay away from the term altogether - where there is a spirit called Fae, there will always be another name for them.

I just saw this while looking for information on the same subject myself ! I have a documentary I'd like to recommend that I've watched and found intriguing .. Here's the link ; https://youtu.be/xYYbrKq3hv0 .. Brian Froud is interviewed in it and he has written books about his experiences with faeries with beautiful illustrations. If you have any information or books/documentaries/etc you've found on this since writing this post, it would be greatly appreciated if you would share them with me ! Maybe we can learn from each other !
