Starting Wicca

I have been casting spells for about 2 years now but I want to be wicca but I am on a low budget please help I already have found my wicca goddess her name is Demeter

Have you checked the Wiccan forum? There is a lot of great info in there. Also, Wicca is a religion, you can find free pdfs online, books at the local library, and amazon.

If your goddess is Demeter than I would suggest checking Theoi.com as Demeter is a Greek deity and further information about her can be found there. If you are interested in Wicca then I would suggest reading books by Wiccan authors, checking out our Wicca subforum, and learning more about different branches of Wicca as there is many. For people on this site whom might enjoy chatting with you about these subjects Theia and Lark come to mind. Theia is a Hellenic/Greek Polytheist and Lark is a Wiccan who has been a High Priestess and lead her own real life coven for many years.

Two books that I think are the best for someone just starting out are:

" Wicca: A Year and a Day" by Timothy Roderich

"Wicca" by Thea Sabin.

I don't believe that either of these are available for free on-line, but you might be able to find them in your local library.

Some authors that I do no t personally recommend include Silver Ravenwolf, D.J. Conway, Edain McCoy, Kisma Stepanic, Fiona Horne, and the Frosts.
