Everytime i cast a spell it it doesn't work i made my own spell and casted it and i got a side affect (i believe that it was a side affect). but it didn't work even though i believe in spells and in magic it still doesn't work even though i try really hard
how can i make all spells that i cast work?
can someone please help me with this? thanks.

Spells may not work for a number of reasons:
You don't understand enough basic information for your spell to work, a spell is more than just words, it takes energy, visualization, etc, these should all be learned before you even attempt a spell.
The spell you are casting may simply not be possible, if you are casting something with a fantastical or unrealistic result, you won't see any effect from the spell.
Sometimes a spell simply isn't meant to work, or you haven't given it enough time to work, spells won't come to fruition over night, sometimes they take weeks or even months to see a result.
You said that you casted a spell and got side affects. I'm curious what the spell was for and what the side affect was.
Cause when it is a spell for something like becoming a vampier, it's not possible.
That's something to take care of if you are using a spell or have created a spell. They have to be possible. Maybe that is why your spells are not working.
If you are trying to become a mermaid, that simply will not happen. It doesn't matter how much you believe in magic, or how many times you try to cast such a spell. You cannot become a mythical creature.
In order for that to work, you would have to change your DNA, which magic cannot do.
Learn what magic really is, what it can and can't do. Learn and practice the basics (as Rikki listed). If you are willing to put in the time to learn the basics of magic and spell casting, then you'll have little to no problems in the future.
