People practice Satanism different ways. Some are Laveyan Satanists who simply follow the rules and guidelines outlined in the Satanic Bible, and others actually worship Satan or sometimes do witchcraft. It all depends. People have the freedom to practice the religion they choose, and that is a beautiful thing!

Thought you might appreciate that. I disagree with some things in that article though if you wish to look at Satanism from a religious perspective there you go.

Lucifer is not exactly a figure who demands worship, or even likes it, necessarily.

In my opinion, to worship anything/anyone is to limit yourself and your relationship with the entity, in a way.

I don't treat Satanists badly, I just don't agree with a lot of the doctrines of Satanism, especially considering the fact that LaVey has gone on record saying that he created the religion because it was profitable.
Overindulgence will often lead to self-destruction. Vengeance is a means to an end that I have acted on, and it only fulfills in eliminating the burden, it doesn't succeed in filling the void. Even if you do not believe in an after-life, stating that your actions here do not have consequence is irresponsible at best.
Sorry I may have offended some, but I just want to at least keep a discussion in your mind, or as LaVey might have put it "becoming of indifference is of ignorance".

I think my favorite thing about Satanism so far is the After School Satan Club..spawned in response to the after school Bible classes hosted at public schools. Biggest lure to Satanism to me was the idea of the anti-establishment. It's no really so much about worshiping Lucifer (thought it is for some) as it is as just the antithesis of Christianity. Super punk-rock...love the idea of it but I wouldn't base my entire spirituality off it. I'd like to go to a temple at some point and hang out, meet ppl and participate in a couple programs here-and-there at some point.

Umm, there's a difference between Satanism and Luciferianism. Satanism doesn't involve actual Satan/Lucifer, Luciferianism does. There's a legitimate Satanist bible and I suggest you read it followed by the Luciferian one for full disclosure and understanding. Mind you, I don't even practice either and I am very aware of this.
