Emerald Gem

A friend of mine has recently aquired an emerald gem he wishes to wear on a necklace. He gave me the stone and asked I give it some magical purpose but wasn't specific to what he wanted. He already has quite a few totems of love which is generally the primary use of emerald. So love isnt an option. I wanted to do something a bit more creative than enhancing foresight and purification (other common uses). Any suggestions for what other type of purpose I can give this gem before I begin drafting a spell of a basic idea I've come up with?

It all depends on your views really. Some people think that certain stones have a certain purpose, and some people think that a stone can be programmed for any use. I believe you can program that stone to be used for anything you find beneficial for your friend. Your intention that's put into the stone is the most powerful thing. Since Emerald is a green mineral it can be used for the heart chakra which is all about love. If you want more in depth ideas just google 'Emerald healing properties' or 'Emerald Magickal properties' and you will get more information about it. Or fallow your heart and if the stone speaks calls to you and gives you a feeling about what it can be used for, go with that feeling :) I hope this helps you!
