Reversed Cards
By: / Beginner
I've read a lot on them, and have heard a variety of advice from "ignore them" to "they represent fading or opposite energy". I'm a bit confused, and am unsure about which pieces of advice to heed since they seem to contradict one another. Anyone got any good ideas here? thanks to any and all replies made :)

My advice is to try it different ways until you find what works best for you. Using tarot for divination is more about confidence and consistency than following a set of rules for specific meanings.

yea, it's really what you feel is right. i read reversed cards because i feel it not only gives a broader more detailed view, but life is full of sweet and sour moments. but i know many people who do not read them because some tarot cards are 'negative' by design [three of swords for example. i also hate the Tower, i mean yea it's good when the dust settles, but it won't be pretty in the moment] these cards will always warn rough times so reading them or other cards reversed is kind of pointless. however, try both ways and see what feels comfortable to you. as you gain more experience, you'll figure out what works best for you.

I agree try both and then see what works for you.
I personally don't read reversed cards as I feel the variety of cards is large enough that you don't need to read reverse.

I've had moments where the readings were not that clear until I reversed a card.so at least be mindful of the reversals.
