"Uncreated One"

Hi all,

I hope everyone is having a lovely day?

I was wondering if anyone knew what "The Uncreated One" means? It's been cropping up in my research here and there, and recently a line in a funeral rite I was reading for a deceased pet made me wonder what it means. "We ask that the Blessing of the Uncreated One, and of the Created Word, and of the Spirit that is the Inspirer may always be with you."

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Hi!
Of course we have a lovely day, we've talked with you!

Well, I'm not sure about it, but it seems to be a way to talk about the "original god" wich has always been there (the only thing non-created), I think is a very christian way of thinking, but it can also be employed for the pagans if there is an original creature in their beliefs, like Aerop-Enap.

I hope someone can answer better ;)

Exactly, the "uncreated one" reffers to the "original god". I don't know other kind of believes but I know it comes from the Christianity, since Christians believe "god" was never created but always existed, something that the human mind cannot understand. They also believe god created the world and the humans.

Essentially, this is a prayer asking for God's help. However Christianity, consists of many lies...

Mmm. Your remark about Christianity was unneeded. You could have built up your argument without it.

Not necessarily unneeded..it's truth. And just as every religion, Christanity has lies.. Christianity exagerrates in some issues, for example if you're not a Christian you'll go to Hell... I am an Orthodox Christian (not religiousin this however....), I am taught about our religion at school. I know what Christianity supports. I said it wasn't unneeded because people shouldn't take so granted what Christianity or other religions say, to be the truth....

But that's my personal opinion anyways, someone else may believe what they desire, anyone has their own believes about anything.

So to say something is your personal opinion means that it's not a truth statement. Thus "It has lies", if this is your personal opinion, doesn't make it true, and thus you should say "I believe it has lies" or leave that out entirely. Furthermore, you cannot really prove a religion true or false, including a claim such as "non-believers are going to hell", and thus you also can't call that a lie because you can't prove/disprove it. You disagreeing doesn't make it a lie either. You could disagree with a truth, if it is true.

Skepticism is a good thing, which I think you were getting at, but your last statement was unneeded and really just an opinion/belief on your part. Keep that in mind please.

There are actually many 'uncreated' or 'bornless' deities in mythologies across the world. Whilst the Jewish God may apply to the idea of the uncreated one in that religion, many other deities could also apply.

I believe this is a reference to the qabalistic teaching of the divine's true nature being non-manifestation, or unmanifested potentiality. The Created word would be the first manifested form, and the inspirer/spirit could be interpreted in different ways.

I personally can take the framework of above and apply it to pagan deities just fine, I also have no issue with it referencing the Jewish faith.

Christianity isn't full of lies, humans are full of lies. There's a major difference between a faith and those who adhere to the teachings of misinformed people.
