In about 4 weeks I will be moving into a new house. The only problem I have with this house is that I get a lot of negative feelings from it. As soon as I enter it, I feel like something bad is going to happen. I'm not sure what it might be, maybe the person living in it before me had a negative life? Or maybe there is a spirit present that doesn't entirely like my presence?
Whatever you use to clean the house with (I am assuming you will be cleaning the house before moving), just visualize everything being swept away. You could also chant or sing something happy.
Maybe you just have anxiety about moving into a new place. A cleansing should help make it feel more you. Make it fun though! You can also do something protection wise after. It should be personalized, make it feel homey.
The suggestions about doing a thorough cleansing of the house before you move in are good ones.
But cleansing is only half of the job. Once you have cleansed the house you need to ward it so that other negative energies cannot move in in the future. There is an excellent article on warding a home at http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=usny&c=words&id=13137
If you have a besom you can literally sweep the negative energy out of your property, you can use crystals such as black tourmaline and smoky Quartz to suck in the negative energy, you can use a sage stick and burn it and waft the smoke through your home to cleanse or you can use sage which you can buy from any supermarket and put it on a small controlled fire or burning charcoal like you do with loose incense, another thing you can do is burn incense which have cleansing properties such as dragon's blood.
Hope this helps
Look into the history of the new place. Maybe there is something in its past that has triggered the negative feelings. Is it only in one area or the whole house? Had a friend that had a negative presence appear in the basement laundry room after her husband died. She thought it was him, but I helped her realize he was the positive vibe elsewhere in the house that followed her. When we looked into the history of that house, there was some negative happenings there prior to them moving in.
