Pain during projection

Hi all, I'm here to request some advice from experienced AP'ers. I've been attempting (unsuccessfully, or perhaps successfully & un-remembered) to astral project, and keep meeting with an unpleasant problem. Around 30 mins into me laying on my back without moving, completely relaxed, sharp and itchy pain starts lancing up the back of my head from where my neck meets my shoulders. It's really, really unpleasant. I've tried just waiting it out but it tends to increase in intensity. There's no physical health issues ailing me; I've had that checked out. It stops almost as soon as I move my body as well, so I'm assuming it's an energetic problem or "all in my head"? Help is greatly appreciated.

You could have a weak neck, like me, though mine is from multiple whiplash. Try a hand towel rolled up to put under your neck. I have one included with my pillow in pillow case. It will give more support to the neck while pillow comforts your head. Hope this helps.

Many people experience "strains" when APing that make it hard to move. Ignore. Push against the pain and it will probably be gone. Put a nice, fat pillow under your head for good measure. :-)

I suggest that you sit while trying to astral project. When that doesn't work use a meditation cushion.
I hope it works for you.
