I do not really get why one would need to practice spells but whatever.

"Let things go but be able to pick it up when neccassary"

I don't see what your problem is , honestly. Just lay off Wicca for a few years or so until you are 18. Your parents may be able to legally control your religious practice but I don't think they can control your magical practice or studies. I don't think there is a low prohibiting it.

You can read up on Wicca while not practicing it , can you not? Wicca is a religion that started off pretty average, with many other prominent people adding on to it after Gardner himself. Wicca itself , to my understanding , draws inspiration from plenty of other magical systems and plenty of people adding on to it.

Go study something else for a few years. Go study some other magical practice or system for a few years or so. Perhaps Witchcraft in general , Hoodoo , Golden Dawn Content , Qabbalism , Ceremonial/High Magic or whatever. By the time you are 18 once more , you will most likely be captivated by studying some other system or study.

When you eventually return back to Wicca , you may find that it is no longer for you.

It seem like you are a girl of polytheism religion?
If yes in any case then you can study magick elements however you cannot practice the witchcraft (spells) as they associated the blood and fire with devils in their point of view, and they tend to be so exclusive, up to a point that they wonder off and thinks about you being worshipper of satan. If i were you, as some mentioned above- i will sit down with my parent and talk it through it. if still it doesnt work then studying something like herbal, element, crystals and others magick are acceptable because they associate with scientific explanation too.

As said, until you are a legal adult your parents are responsible and have the right to raise you however they see fit. Once you're an adult you can do whatever. I would try calmly explaining to them what you believe and that there is no devil in your faith. If they still say no, drop the subject. [I had this one co-worker who believed any non Christian faith was an illusion made by the devil, can't argue with strong held belief, sometimes you just have to walk away]

This doesn't mean you can never return, magick is everywhere, you could learn new skills and hobbies which you could later apply to magick. Start gardening, learn to cook, collect crystals, meditate. Even reading articles online isn't practice if you're not applying it. Not to say go behind your parents back, but you can do related activities while not actually practicing your faith. Just be aware once you're a legal adult your parents can legally kick you out so be sure you have a plan in place if that happens. Good luck to you.

As others have already said many times, while you are living in your parent's home it is better not to go against their wishes. Wicca isn't going anywhere (And Wicca has nothing to do with spells) and when you are of legal age you can certainly take up the religion of Wicca if you wish.

In the meantime there are many things that you can do which aren't apt to upset your parents and which will be useful to you when you are able to practice Wicca in the future.

- Focus on academic studies.
- Read about different mythologies, cultures, and the history of ancient peoples.
- Learn about the natural world where you live (the animals, plants, trees, and geology of their part of the world).
- Attend spiritual worship services of diverse faiths.
- Write and journal your thoughts and feelings.
- Pray and meditate.
- Give back to the world through community service.
- Embrace physical, mental, and emotional health.

The rest will come in time, and you will be better ready for it when that times comes.

I just wanted to add on to this post and suggest a few ways you can practice magick and it be an everyday life thing;

- Stir clockwise for bringing things into your life and anti-clockwise for banishing things from your life. Combine this with herbal teas.
- Drink herbal teas they are like little mini drinkable potions, yet are completely normal.
- Cook with herbs for specific purposes.
- Wear crystal pendants - they are in fashion right now!
- Decorate your room with magickal yet normal things (wind chimes and dreamcatchers are good examples of this)
- Take walks in nature,it is a nice way to be connected to deity.
- Draw sigils on the labels of your clothes for self confidence.

I do agree with other people that you need to respect your parents wishes especially when living under their roof and when you are being fed and clothed by them. However if you do still choose to practice I hope these simple things will help and keep you out of trouble.

I would like to add something. You can easily continue magical practice despite your parents disapproval with Wicca.

There are so many topics you can learn , study and practice and plenty of those does not even require physical movement! You can do them just by sitting comfortably on a sofa! Spells and Rituals can be done astrally or as an mental exercise!

You will find that the orders of the R.R et AC and the various orders Crowley created do just that! When one is familiar with the rituals of those orders , they encourage one to not even bother doing them physically!
