Welcome to SoM! You should probably learn more about the craft before you start buying matterials and trying to do spells. Learn the basics and figure out what path/s you want to take. Blessed Be!

I agree with tea 7105, if you don't spend a greater amount of time doing your own inner work before doing spells it could lead to all your spells being flops- or worse, they could have the opposite effect than the desired outcome. Yikes! So, your heart is in the right place because more than likely wanting to do spells right away means that you have passion for magic and that passion is extremely essential when it comes to anything you want to work hard at and succeed. But do be careful to be more aware of your actions. Because magic will probably become a great part of your life in the future, but you need to work on yourself first. And, in time the right spell to cast will become obvious. Any way, welcome to SOM:)

Firstly you should learn the basics before moving on to spells, that was you have a good foundation of knowledge to work with.

Secondly, no one really uses a cauldron for much more than burning stuff, you get the occasional practitioner that uses one but not many.

Lastly, you don't need anythng to cast a spell, herbs , crystals etc are mainly additions to spells, used for their proporties. They are not usually pivotal to the spell itself.

I wish you the best of Luck.

Learn the basics, first...then find yourself. Write journals on your quest within, find a path which suits your needs, there are many. It takes years, many years. I am still learning now. Good luck on your path search.

Well, if you're serious about learning how to do magic and with starting from the rock-bottom then you don't start out by casting spells, you start out by learning how and why magic works.

You see, there is no such thing as an "easy" spell or a "beginner" spell. One either understands how magic works and has mastered the basics...in which case the magic will work..or you haven't done that sort of work..and no spell will work no matter how "easy" it seems.

Casting a successful spell involves much more than finding some spell on the internet or in a book, saying some words, lighting a candle, waving a wand of any of that sort of thing. In order for magic to work you need to understand how and why it works in the first place. Grounding and centering, visualization, focus and intent, energy manipulation, etc are all necessary first steps to even begin to have a chance at a spell actually working...and more importantly to prevent a spell from back-firing on you.

So, my advice for anyone who is truly serious is to start by reading a few books and practicing the exercises those books will give you. Once you have mastered the basics you won't need anyone to give you spells, you'll be able to create your own spells that will be far more effective than anything you find on the net. Here's the books I suggest:

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman

"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar

"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson

"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig

I can help you, but first you should learn the basics. Many of the time you do not necessarily need any tools, even a pot can be used as a cauldron. Try find what magick you would like to practice and the type of spells that would suit you, but don't do spells until you've learned about everything and are sure you are ready to do magick.
