Depends on who you ask
Penn and Teller,totally Debunked it
But then some folks like the couple the Conjuring is based on Claim that it is the object responsible for 80 percent of Demonic
Home hauntings on record. Some folks think our subconscious moves it and some say it's the dead themselves
You need to find out for yourself.

As the above member states, this subject has been brought up many times on the site. Shall we try again?
The name Ouija is derived from the French and German words for "Yes". It is a board game manufactured by an American toy maker. Some years ago, a few people started to say that the board could conjure spirits; and the sales of the board game soared!
Every times a Ouija board is featured in a movie or TV show, the sales of the game rocket; and the makers laugh all the way to the bank!
A Ouija board is no more magical than Snakes & Ladders. It is a game!
Is it dangerous? Yes, it is, if you believe that it can summon demons, etc. It can be frightening to the "believers".

I agree with Brysing on This one although I do believe in the forces it's suppose to summon,I just don't think a board game could do it..I have played with the boards and when there was no one else around to move it it did t move and when it did with a group of family or friends the info never came true
At 20 I was told by the board od die at 24 in a car crash
Well that year came and went and in here, lol
I'd bet my aunt played that trick

It comes down to belief really. Most people just grab a box from the toy store and start using it. In this instant nothing will happen [well, anything that does is done by the person not a spirit] if you use it as a tool [say you make it, charge it with energy and bless it] then it can be used to contact spirits and used improperly you could get in trouble. However, I've used Ouija Boards many times and I know many people who use them, and nothing bad has every happened like in the movies. Nothing flew across the room, no one got possess, or anything like that. The only bad thing that ever happened was my one friend argued with a spirit and the spirit 'haunted' her until she apologized. [But it was stuff like the spirit knocking on her headboard and hiding her homework. Nothing Hollywood would want]

Granted there is a lot of science behind Ouija Boards being illusions of your mind and muscle twitches, so again it all comes down to personal belief. If they scare you then avoid them, if you think they're real, use them like any other tool. Regarding other games, again, it's belief. Most people use it as a game, but if you focus and use it as a tool to communicate, then it can potentially contact a spirit. But again, it's all belief based. Personally I believe in spirits and have spoken with them through the Ouija Board [as well as through other methods and I have sensed/seen them] so for me it's a tool. Others might feel differently. I suggest you research Ouija Boards and draw your own conclusions. Good luck to you.
