Third eye VS pineal gland

What's the different between pineal gland and third eye??? I have heard it's different. But I don't understand how.. Can someone help??

The pineal gland is an actual part of your brain, it kinda looks like a small pinecone. Your third eye is usually associated with the 6th chakra and is an energy centre. Many are of the opinion that the two do work together.

There is a strain in occult thought that six of the seven major chakras of the body have their physical manifestation in the form of the hormonal system and also effect this system. I believe Dion Fortune and her husband discussed this at some length in a book which escapes my mind from the early 1900s.

The Pineal gland controls many hormonal functions, there is of course no scientific evidence for any of this, and many people do doubt it. If it were so, it could be proven quite easily.
