I've recently been casually researching about the different Gods and Ragnarok, but so far I haven't found anything about a specific time period, say when certain events happen in a set order, then it will occur. So is there any sort of specific "time" it'll happen, or is it something that will just (probably could find a better term) kick off?
If you have Studied the Eddas in depth, you will come to see, that its transition to paper was orchestrated by a CHRISTIAN MONK by the name of Snorri. So therefor, it would be logical to infer that the final tale and tales leading up to Ragnarok, and the Demonetization of the God Loki, essentially turns him into the Norse Satan. And in contrast Odin as god the Father and Balder as Jesus. This also coming at a time when Christianity was moving to become the dominate Faith in Europe. Hope this helps clear things up for you.
there isnt a set time period in any of the myths. only a before/after thing. ragnarok comes after the fi'imbulvintr, a 3 year winter in which the world basically goes mad. so dont worry too much about it until then
