Are you sure it was hot enough to burn, or maybe it was plastic, I doubt it means much more than that.

I use an Ouija board quite frequently. I actually collect them. The reason it wont burn is because it isn't broken into 4 pieces. The best thing to do is actually to wrap it in a red ribbon and place it under a rock in a stream of running water. Nothing can escape the running water, and over time, the board will decay and cease to exist.

I find that question creepy just my brain problems haha joke

Try getting a saw and cutting it it will destroy the magic inside it and then burn it and the throw the ashes into running water not a tap it needs to be natural

you should never just burn a ouija board. i'm not saying you will release a demon or something, it could just be a toy someone bought and never used, but burning a ouija board that has been used as a tool to communicate with spirits should never be burned because you will unknowingly release a lot of energy, and will receive a lot of negative repercussion because of it.

put it in salt water to purify it of all energy [you could also wash it with vinegar or smudge it with sage among other methods] then burn it. some say you should bless the fire, or make it holy in some way [using a certain type of wood, throwing certain herbs or sea salt onto it] personally, i throw a handful of dried sage on the fire, if you don't want to, don't worry, just be sure to cleanse the board first to make sure theres no energy attached to it.

ouija boards are just tools and a persons belief is what gives it power, but if you just found a random board, better to be safe because the previous owner could of used it.

That is merely silly to burn an ouija board, an ouija board is just a simple tool for doing divination and nothing else. Sure you can contact spirits and such but you can also contact your higherself and spirit guides. With the right set of mind and caution spirit boards are not even that harmless of a pendulum or tarot cards.

But I must warn you that if you are just using it for fun and enjoyment it is not a tool for you. But if someone used it for cotancting spirits I would assume some trickster spirits would come by and tell your future or any other kind of information that they no nothing about Burning sweetgrass and sage would be nice combaintation to attract nice spirits

A flammable object will not just "not burn." If the conditions are met, it will burn. Just holding a lighter to a piece of wood is not always enough -- especially for one large enough to be a spirit board used with a planchette.

Whether burning it is a "good" or even "necessary" idea is a matter of belief, and I'll leave that to the others. Exactly what the large piece of wood needs to ignite is a matter of a lot of conditions, but does come down to three conditions: Heat (enough to initiate and continue the chemical reaction), fuel (the wood, though it sounds like it needs a bit of support to get started), and oxygen (good airflow is necessary for a good burn).

That said, I will not go into building a fire here, as it is advice which may be misused by some passers by and I would rather not be indirectly related to someone's bad decision.

Others here have all made valid points.

For one, running water like a river is a place where one can dispose of anything. Spirits cannot cross running water.
