Thanks. I saw you mention reading books on Wicca and just wanted to clarify for myself which you are talking about.

Oh, no problem, Lark. I used to consider myself as a Wiccan but now I don't.

I attended a Roman Catholic School. But I also had "another" teacher. My other teacher didn't teach me anything against my school or religion. She taught me many things about Nature, animals, insects; how the Earth works, how the Universe works. She also lent me books on all sorts of subjects, and I got to love the stories of the Greek Gods, and the Norse Gods.
I started to question the Catholic teachings when I was about twelve. It didn't seem to make sense to me. When I was 17 I became aware that my other teacher was what I had suspected for quite some time; that she was a witch. I asked her if she would teach me to be a witch. She said,
"I've been teaching you since you were six years old."
At my age now, I reckon I was a very, very lucky little boy!
So, I did question my beliefs; and I am very glad that I did!

Yes, but you see, my "witch teacher" never admitted that she was a witch when I was very young, because witchcraft at that time was against the Law!

I would love to have a teacher when it comes to learning about the Wiccan religion. I have been thinking about it for almost 2 years now, and I am ready to be dedicated, formally.

I was not taught Wicca; I was taught witchcraft;not quite the same thing! I heard about it of course,in the 1940s. But it wasn't until I read "Witchcraft Today" that I really knew about Wicca. Now there are many teachers of Wicca; very few teaching witchcraft!

Yes-- finding someone to guide you with just witchcraft as a practice is difficult and rare. Everything you find easily is always based on Wicca and Wicca's teachings, which classifies as a neopagan religion. Brysing and I do not resonate with the religious dogma of Wicca. We are merely just witches. Witches do not need to hold a belief in deities, etc. The description of a witch goes on.
