It is a "disease" from the TV show "Supernatural". It is strictly fictional in nature. It is not an actual, existing medical condition. Fantasy, nothing more.

Actually one of the greastest mysteries of all time; The lost colony of Roanoke.
When John White came back to the colony after he had left to get resources from Britain, all that was left was the word "Croatoan". In actuality Croatoan is the name of a demon; From native american origin.

Here's some links talking about Roanoke.

Wow. Croatan are North Carolina Algonquian Indians. My tribe, Abnaki, also came from Algonquian, but from Maine-Canada Region down through Massachusetts and Vermont..Very interesting that Algonquian was quite a large nation.

No, there is a big difference between "Croatan" and "croatoan".

Croatan was the Native American name for Hatteras in the Outer Banks an is involved with the dissapearance of the first English colony in the Americas. That part is history.

Croatoan comes from the TV series "Supernatural" and is supposed to be a blood borne disease involving demons that drives humans mad. It is shear fantasy.

Don't forget it was also on American Horror Story season one. ;)

I wish people would really think about the things they see on TV before asking about the validity of it.

To me you must think before you ask the question rather something is rational or not. It helps sorting through fantasy and reality so much easier.

Yeah. I went for the other spelling. But it's true, the original came from that show. Agreed, Day, I wish people would leave tv to tv info, and ask about real magick.
