candles

if I use a candle in a spell and it requires I blow it out/snuff it out what should I do with the candle, I know you are not meant to reuse it in another spell but what if I cleansed it or just used it as a light source or is it best to just get rid of it (but that just seems like a waste to me)

cleanse it first before use. Theres no need to throw away. yes you can use it as light. And never use same candle in spell or ritual.

If it's a very short spell, you can use a birthday candle. If it is a little longer, emergency candles or Jewish menorah candles work great. Tea lights are also far less wasteful. You could alternatively cut a taper candle to the length you desire so that the rest can be used for a different purpose. You could make your own candle so that you would control it's size precisely. Lots of options.
