Heyy, I've been searching for a magickal path that suits me but I haven't had any luck as of yet, but I feel as I would like to practice something that deals with the guidance and aid of angels but I have no idea where to start. So I would like to know if any of guys could give me some suggestions.
Hi
I've tried to do some work with angels (I think I've succeeded) and I did research online but I also purchase a book that was very helpful:
"Angels 101" By Doreen Virtue
It was really helpful. Good luck!
I learned how to work with angels from here and the person that runs this page also has a youtube channel which is honestly super helpful.

First, you might want to think about what you think an angel is. New Agers such as Doreen Virtue have one definition of them, Western Ceremonial magicians have another definition for them, and they can appear very different from either of those in Judeo-Christian mythology (as in, four animal heads on wheels or something. The more popular image of angels might come from the feather-winged muses, zephyrs, and the goddess of victory from Greek mythology.)
Where do you want to go with this? That would be another good place to start.
Take heed of what Aeon'sWing says. Angels are not like the ones from chickensoup for the soul. Maybe they are...but not the ones that "work" Aeon hit the nail on the head and no need to add to it.
Qabala is the best way to work with these beings.
You do your own homework on it and if it is the path for you, then trust me it will call to you and youll learn what you need to lear.
" [Thoth] contrived...for Cronus the ensign of his royal power, having four eyes...and upon the shoulders four wings...But for the other gods there were two wings only to each upon his shoulders, to intimate that they flew under the control of Cronus."
Phoenician Mythology
It just goes to show where the winged beings originated from. Linguistically, Phoenician is where all of today's languages stem. Do you think we only took the language? Despite what religion you want to look at or through what literature, the fact is, they were gods. ;)
