Hinduism is not just about knowing what comes in it's tradition or does not, it also is about knowing what Hindus do now. Don't live in the past we welcome the western trends if we like them into our lives. Sure it's not a old tradition but we do have b'dy cakes and we douse candles.

We're not a tribe and have no rigid beliefs. We are flexible and are quite acceptive and also supportive of other trends.

I really have no idea why you are quoting people but sure not in the orthodox hindu tradition but we use candles none the less.

Sure, candles were introduced from the west but many modern Hindu practisioners use them

Also hindus are supposed to be vegetarian but many eat meat, the same applies to candles

I completelty agree with you ToxicDragon9.
Hinduism is soo vast that you will find different languages within the distance of two miles and not all Hindus are vegetarian but they were supposed to be at earliest of times. That's why I say that hinduism is not just about knowing what the orthodox traditions were but also about what we are now!
