It is true, there are other theories however. But this is the most common one.

As Zeusy said, the Greek myths do claim that Chronos devoured his children until Rhea fooled him into swallowing a rock instead of the new-born Zeus.

But it is best not to take any myths literally. If we think of Chronos as being time itself then it is true that time eventually swallows us all. So it is more an allegory than a factual tale.

She never said, you didn't, ''understand'' did she? I believe not. Also here's a tip: Don't use all caps for words, this can get you gagged. Even if it's made for a,point. Not trying to be rude, and, all.

What Lark means is that we shouldn't think of religious lore as factual in the physical plane of existence, as that is where we have science. Just because something is not physically manifested does not make it nonsense. I'd watch my tongue if I were you towards calling any religious material nonsense purely out of respect.

When it comes to matters beyond physical reality, the energy we work with is subtle, as in non-physical; this can pertain to events described in relgious scripture, and even then, they could still be considered allegory instead of an actual spiritual event. Regardless of what it really is, we can never know for sure because we only have our physical, human understanding of reality to go off of.

This was an amazing story

The way the others escaped Cronus' stomach was when Zeus gave him a potion to drink,Cronus spewed out the offspring and they fought the titans,Zeus also freed the cyclopses and they crafted for him his lightning bolt and for posiden a trident (I'm not sure what they crafted for Hades),The titans were eventually defeated and Atlas(a titan) was forced to carry the Earth on he's shoulders, afterwards Zeus had taken the skies and olympus,Posiden had taken the ocean and Hades had taken the Underworld

***This is a very summarised version of the story

Also Gaia had known about the prophecy and had not told Rhea, but eventually she had told Rhea and gave Zeus protection up unil he fought Cronus
