Hey Flighty/October. It is possible to cast a protection spell on a piece of jewelry or another object, though you don't need to do a ritual or anything to do it. Just a basic protection spell should work good. :)

I would cleanse it to rid any negative, then charge it with the job of protection. Many use the moon to charge their items. I use the moon mostly because this desert sun can destroy settings, but that is up to you.

Thank you! I wasn't sure whether or not there was a specified ritual, or a simple protection spell. The item I have in mind is a rosary style necklace I wear every day, with a moonstone pendulum as the pendant, so I was thinking of casting on the next full moon.

Sounds like a lovely piece. If you would like to give it a added boost, ask the spirit of/deity of the moon that you are familiar with to bless it, instead of merely utilizing the moon itself. Then you can continue the ritual with your own protection. Don't forget, the moonstone itself has its own spirit/energy.

Moonstone is not a good stone for those who are exceedingly intuitive or "open" spiritually and not in full control of their gifts. It tends to amplify them, and can make them go wild.

It is good for those who are artistic and analytical and wish to enhance their creative side and learn to accept and manage their emotions.

Thank you for the input! And yes, I did my research on stones before I chose one, as to see which one I thought would be best for me personally.

I actually was wondering the same thing. I'm waiting for my necklace to get here so I can put protection and healing spells on it.

Black tourmaline is FANTASTIC. I've always had great results with it. Carry sea salt in your other pocket, and you'll have a winning experience.
