Its hard to tell if your the one being possessed they don't control you actions like making you walk off cliffs and such its like a voice in your head but the thing is its hard to tell the difference between your own thought and what the being possessing you is saying.
It's a complicated question. There are cases of one who's possessed being able to speak in other languages/do weird things. So in that case yes. But in others mental illness is mistaken for possession.
As a spiritual satanist I find what you ask quite offensive.Is clearly you don't know many things about demons.Study and you will find that they can be very friendly.They are not the ugly bad monsters.

The ones that posses are the lower rank entities like spirits etc.but a real demon only possesses when there is particularly a deep reason,otherwise they won't,since,the higher ranks demons are not at all interested in it,other than this they may seek for strong magicians & make them or let them serve as demon minions.Firstly very few humans are capable of holding demon power inside their body,otherwise the would rott,or burst.
There are may ways to protect yourself from those evil witches such as if you do it yourself then you should have faith in yourself,will power to come out of that spell,either you overpower it with your spiritual strength,or you penetrate it, with thinking to come out of it at once,like pinching it. to obtain such great strength,one must never loose confidence to fight it,since you are the master of your own body.meditation & grounding yourself should be done.other than this,there are may spiritual entities & demons as well & many spells that you can make yourself by using the name of those entities,since names gives power to the spell.coming in contact with the nature can help you a lot.but whatever you do always believe in it,since it triggers your energy in the spell to make it effective.
