My goals in exploring magic are to connect with my gods, have spiritual peace and fulfillment, understand myself and the world better, and of course, use spells to help with various misfortunes and roadbumps

this in mind, does anyone have recommended books or sites for someone coming to terms with their budding beliefs and spark of interest? other than those lovely stickies on this forum of course

For understanding how to have a personal relationship with one's gods I'd suggest "Devoted To You" by Judy Harrow.

In terms of magical practice and spellwork you might want to try:

"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman

"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson

"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig

"Real Magic" by Isaac Bonewits.
