Opening a Chakra is the longer matter. I recomnd you transalntions original books of the eastern masters. Like Sat chakra nirupana by A. Avalon - John Woodroffe, or Shiva samhita and Gheranda samhita.
Those books are free on the net. Try google.
Or good book about is The secret of the golden flower - a Taoists spiritual alchemy, translantion by Richard Willhelm. But there is Ajna chakra called the "Heavenly heart" and chakra Anahata the "fleshly heart". About three months medition on chakra Ajna and then a years meditation on Anahata. Until the chakra is not open.
S. Raghavanad for example wrote:" people cannot open all chakras in one life." Openina chakra take many years concentration on one chakra only.
Meditation on Anahata is good done before bedtime too. Because of , what do you think before sleep, it deals your mind for whole night. But on Anahata only. Not on Ajna.
Hi dearest! Unfortunately as the others have stated one should never force one's chakras. And if one does it will not work, because chakras are opened through peace and harmony and with balance between oneself and the universe. Remember, the Divine and our connection to it is not a variable of time. It doesn't work with our definitions of time. It comes when one is ready for it :D
Some advice to maybe help get you to where you need to be for them to open and start opening? :D Okay well the good news is, practice does indeed make perfect. So practice daily, I read somewhere that once should meditate in the morning and in the evening for twice the amount of minutes as one's age. So practice daily, spend the time you need with it. Devote yourself to reaching a point where you are able to have your chakras open. I mean think about it, what if you force them open, you wouldn't know what to do, because you didn't learn it through trial-and-error.
Yoga is great as well! I know this sounds ridiculous but 20 minute yoga or strecthes even is so good for the body. I have been doing it for 2 weeks now, and I can already see and feel the enhancement in everything I do. Meditation, astral projection, spell working, its all been a little easier lately :D
Another, eating healthy, yea we all hate this one and I personally see McDonalds just a smidge too often, but we find peace in nature, and become one with it as to open our chakras and fully or as fully as possible grasp life. So lets take the expression "You are what you eat" seriously. Eating healthy is a great way to get closer to nature, fresh fruits are gross but you get used to them :)
Try reading up on chakras and try finding opinions of experts and of authors and see what they have to say about it. Often times in order to be one with something, one needs to understand something ;)
Lastly, don't get discouraged. So many people get discouraged because frankly it takes too long and we just couldn't care, but its vital to us. Preserverance! The turtle got their eventually :P
When a chakra is realy open, siddhis - spiritual power hidden in - begin to work. Untill yogi do not obtain siddhis, chakra is not open.
For example see chakra Anahata:
Anahat Chakra or heart chakra: If one contemplates (contemplation = a long term meditation) on the flame called vanalinga that resides in the heart chakra (anahat chakra), he attains knowledge beyond measure. He attains clairvoyance and can see the past, present and future. He can walk in air (khechari siddhi) and travel anywhere (Bhuchari siddhi). Through his clairvoyance he can perceive the yogins...................
But it take a years meditaion on one chakra only.
There are two different paths on the East. The first is a paths to Nirvana (paramatman). It means ending the cycle of lifes in this world and and in spiritual worlds too.
The second is a paths to obtain spiritual powers (siddhis) and a better life in the spiritual worlds.
A good book about the second path is not from India, but from ancient China. The secret of the golden flower, a Taoists spiritual alchemy. Translantion by Richard Willhelm. But, there is Ajna chakra called e "Heavenly Heart" and chakra Anahata "fleshly heart".
Yogis they want an ending the cycle of lifes do a meditation about all chakras. They must cleen them and awaken the Kundalini (The serpent power).
Yogis they prefer the second way must open chakra. But it take many years mediations about a one chakra only (see The secret of the golden flower - about three months concentration on Ajna chakra for calming, then bring attention to the Anahata chakra by monitoring breath and meditation for years in this place ).
Swami Raghavanand for example wrote.:
"It is important to great deepen of one meditation. Not many meditations."
I agree with the good advice others are giving you... knowledge is the key . there is no room for force in good practices .If walking on the darker side is what you desire than force your way through life ...the path of force will only bear rotten fruit .do it once ,do it right ,but do not worry people move along there path in leaps and bounds when they are making good choices ..your chakras will be stimulated as you learn values relevant to your spiritual path. study the things that feel good ,and bring joy to you and those around you this will take you the direction you are looking to go ...you may find some chakras are already open but your eyes are closed....laughter and smiles are good for everyone...chin up .....find an excuse to laugh ...or some hard work to do ...walking in the woods is a good place to study...
