Valerian, scullcap, and st. Johns wort also work well for anxiety. Especially when combined.

Anything that helps with sleep can help with anxiety. Chamomile, Lavender, and Valerian root are all great

I take passion flower for anxiety as well as saint john's wort. These two combined with meditation, a healthy diet, and exercise have done more for me than the pills modern medicine provides.

A happy stomach and a healthy diet is usually the key to less stress. So eating healthy and focusing on "super foods", especially those with vitamin B and magnesium. If nuts help you, you are likely deficient in these vitamins and mineral. But don't reach for pills for supplements. Many studies have disclaimed the effectiveness of vitamin pills! But people still buy them because it's easier to take a little pill then make good food choices. But it won't truly help your health. Instead focus on super foods like kale, turnip greens, bananas, and blueberries and try to ensure that at least one gets into your stomach everyday!

I also agree with KTS on Valerian and St. John's root. Those are top notch but be sure to buy quality herbs from a reliable source. Again, most pills on the shelf in your local store are useless. Do your research and find the best. It isn't always the most expensive either. You may just have to travel a bit or order it online.

It's funny you mentioned incorporating nuts as I just made that discovery a few days ago heh. If the body is low on a specific vitamin it can really change how we respond to stress and anxiety.

Finding out what the body is lacking is the best step to conquering it :)

Great 'Tea' link posted earlier! Very helpful
